Omokolade Ogunleye is currently a Master's student in Information Systems Assurance Management at the Concordia University of Edmonton. That allows him to expand his knowledge in business and cybersecurity. He is technically sound and understands how IT can support, enable, and add value to an enterprise with efficient security in mind. A CISSP with other globally recognized designations to his name has proven to be a lifelong learner.

In addition to his newly found interest in information systems auditing, he enjoys developing enterprise information security and business continuity programs. He is skilled in information security risk management, controls (design, implementation, and testing), and continuous improvement. His business and technical skills with inquiring mindset make him an ideal candidate for security assessment and assurance roles. Most recently, he has been focusing on governance and the assurance side of IT.

As the information security officer, he led his team, collaborating with other team members in implementing and certifying their employer for the ISO 27001 and 22301 standards. He was also a support resource for IP Address Management (IPAM) and network security for Nigeria's largest telecommunication company. Before that, he was a web application developer with great enthusiasm for computers, and the Internet, how they work, and how to abuse and protect them.

Omokolade is looking to continue learning and gaining experience in the IT security and assurance space and hopefully work towards advancing the field. He is actively looking for challenges and opportunities to enable him to achieve these goals. Also, he looks forward to sharing his professional journey on this platform about what has worked for him and what has not. That includes but is not limited to his experiences, tutorials, projects, tools, and research for professionals and cyber security enthusiasts.
